Why is this more expensive than other gyms?
Ghost Athletica is the only hockey-specific training facility in West Michigan. Every other option is a general gym with a hockey player inside it. Here, everything — the equipment, the programming, the facility layout, the coaching staff — was built specifically for hockey athletes. Our force plates, performance testing equipment, and recovery tools are the same category of technology used by NHL teams. Our coaching staff includes a former NHL Strength & Conditioning Coach and a Doctor of Physical Therapy who played professionally in the Winnipeg Jets organization. You won't find that combination anywhere in this region. When you break it down to cost per session — $20 to $30 depending on your plan — you're getting an entire performance staff for less than the cost of a single private session with a qualified trainer ($75–$150/hr). The price reflects a world-class training environment, not a premium gym membership.
How is the cost per session calculated?
Total package price ÷ total training sessions over the program. Example: 5-month Advanced ($3,250) = 4 sessions/week × ~20 weeks = ~160 sessions = $20.30/session. For NHL-level coaching. A private trainer typically runs $75–$150/session.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Toggle "Monthly Payments" above to see monthly rates. There's a small premium (roughly $50–$150 depending on tier) to spread cost across the program. Contact us to set up monthly billing.
What's the difference between Elite and Pro?
Elite adds a custom nutrition plan (RD-designed) and daily recovery equipment access. Pro adds 10 PT/dry needling sessions, 5 mental performance sessions, 10 vision training sessions, and a daily protein shake. At the college or junior level, Pro is where the real separation happens.
Should I do 3 months or 5 months?
5 months is the clear answer if your schedule allows. The first 6–8 weeks are adaptation — you don't peak until later. The 5-month window gives us time to build a real base and peak you for training camp. Per-session cost is also lower.
Is there a goalie-specific option?
Yes. The program is led by Dr. Jamie Phillips — a former professional goalie. Every goalie gets programming built for the position: butterfly mechanics, lateral explosiveness, hip loading, post-to-post movement.
Can I train remotely?
Yes. The Ghost app delivers your full program remotely. Several athletes train in-person for intensive periods and use the app between visits.
